Abigail is currently working on her debut novel. She studied creative writing at Florida State University and gained her MFA from the University of Tampa. She is an adjunct professor of creative writing and working as a bookseller for an independent bookstore.

Abigail's writing centers around family. While her short stories are often closer to magical realism, both novels she is currently working on are contemporary fiction. She prefers her characters not to be perfect, and their families to be dysfunctional. Through her books, Abigail aims to imbue a bit more empathy into the world.

Abigail is the product of an unconventional and blended family; much of her inspiration comes from them. In 2009 Abigail met her husband in high school marching band and they have been married since 2018. They welcomed their first child in March of 2024. Outside of teaching, reading, and writing, Abigail enjoys crafting, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.
